What are injectable wrinkle reducing agents?
It is a type of purified protein. It is very safe to use and has been used for over 25 years. It is used in very tiny amounts during treatment, which is treated directly into facial muscles.

How does it work?
It works by blocking the transmission of nerve impulses to the facial muscles that have been treated. This makes the muscles less active and therefore softens and smooths the appearance of persistent lines and wrinkles.

How long does the treatment work?
The effects often last up to 4 months, depending upon the patient. If you decide to stop treatment, any permanent lines and wrinkles will gradually return.

Is the treatment painful?
Most patients experience a feeling of slight discomfort during the treatment itself, but that’s all. Rest assured; we will talk you through what to expect before your first injection, so you’ll be fully prepared before treatment.

What are cosmetic fillers?
Dermal filler is an injectable gel like substance composed of Hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is a natural component of the skin and has the ability to absorb water and nourish our skin. Fillers are used to plump, hydrate and maintain structure of the skin in areas, such as the lips and nose-to-mouth lines (nasolabial folds). They can also be used to reshape the contour of the nose and chin, and sculpt the cheeks.
